One man in hospital after A93 crash near Drumoak

One man has been taken to hospital under police escort after a two-vehicle crash in Aberdeenshire.

The accident happened on the A93, around a mile east of Drumoak, at about 08:05.

Grampian Police, Grampian Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service attended, and the man - aged in his 40s - was freed and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said the road had been blocked as a result of the crash but was fully re-opened by 10:45.
