A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a woman in Elgin.

The body of Lossiemouth-raised Kim Campbell, 41, was found at High School View in the New Elgin area of the Moray town on Thursday 8 November.

James Munro, 55, of Elgin, appeared at the town's sheriff court. He also faced a charge under the Communications Act 2003.

Mr Munro made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
