Plan in place for IVF waiting time at NHS Grampian

A plan is in place to reduce waiting times for fertility treatment to a maximum of 12 months by 2015, in line with Scottish Government targets, NHS Grampian has said.

BBC Scotland revealed on Monday that North East Labour MSP Lewis MacDonald had written to the health secretary and the health board calling for action.

NHS Grampian said IVF waiting time was long at the moment.

The plan includes treating those patients and allowing new additions.

The Scottish government gave NHS Grampian £400,000 this financial year to help that process.
