'Indecent acts' on trains between Aberdeen and Stonehaven probed

Indecent behaviour towards a woman on train journeys between Aberdeen and Stonehaven is being investigated.

British Transport Police said two boys boarded the 21:31 Aberdeen to Stonehaven service acted in an indecent manner towards a 31-year-old woman on 12 December.

The next day three boys boarded the same train and acted similarly towards the same woman.

Two of them were believed to have been involved the night before.

They are described as being aged about 15 years, with a slim build.

'Appalling behaviour'

One was wearing a grey jumper and dark jeans. The other was wearing a dark baggy jumper and jeans, and both boys had BMX bikes with them.

The third is described as wearing a light coloured jumper and cargo-style trousers and he also had a BMX bike.

Con Craig Allan, the BTP officer in charge of the inquiry, said: "Passengers should be able to travel without encountering such unwelcome and appalling behaviour.

"I am appealing to anyone who was on the trains at the time or at Aberdeen or Stonehaven stations and has information which can help identify those responsible to contact BTP as a matter of urgency."
