£140,000 heroin seizure on Shetland

Heroin with an estimated street value of £140,000 was seized on Shetland on New Year's Eve, police have said.

A group of three men from Glasgow, aged 24, 30 and 33, were detained by officers, said Northern Constabulary.

The recovery was made following an intelligence-led operation. The location of the find has not been released.

A report was sent to the procurator fiscal and the men will appear from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court.
