An Aberdeen man who was jailed for raping a woman has had a long-running bid to clear his name turned down by a judge.

Graham Gordon, 51, was jailed for five years after being convicted at the High Court in Stonehaven in 2002.

The trial had heard how Gordon took the woman to his Bridge of Don home after meeting her in a city nightclub.

His latest challenge was turned down by Lord Pentland at the Court of Session.
