Offshore divers accept pay deal to end strike threat

Offshore divers have accepted a new pay offer, putting an end to potential industrial action.

The deal - potentially worth up to 12.5% over three years - affects about 900 divers working in the UK sector of the oil and gas industry.

The RMT union has welcomed the pay deal.

It came after an earlier offer was rejected in a ballot.
