Motorist badly hurt in B977 tree crash in Aberdeenshire

A man has been taken to hospital with "life-threatening" injuries after a crash in Aberdeenshire.

The accident happened on the B977 between Mill of Fintray and Kintore at about 06:45 on Wednesday.

Grampian Fire and Rescue Service cut the man free after the car left the road and collided with a tree.

Grampian Police said the road would be closed while a collision investigation was carried out. The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
