Man, 48, freed after serious Rosehearty house fire

A 48-year-old man has been freed pending further inquiries after a serious fire at an Aberdeenshire house.

The alarm was raised in Rosehearty just after 01:30 on Wednesday and about 20 firefighters were involved in tackling the blaze.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Grampian Police said a man was due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Thursday. The Crown Office later said a man was freed pending further inquiries, and did not appear.
