Report to fiscal over Carolle Ralph 'hate mail' being prepared

Carolle Ralph Carolle Ralph resigned from Moray Council in December

Police investigating alleged hate mail which prompted a Moray councillor to resign are preparing to submit a report to the procurator fiscal.

Carolle Ralph stepped down in December after spending six months representing Lossiemouth's Heldon and Laich ward.

She said at the time she could not cope with being the target of abuse online and by post.

A by-election for the vacant post will be held next month.

Grampian Police said a report was being prepared, and would be submitted.
