Aberdeen flats evacuated after firework is let off

A block of flats in Aberdeen was evacuated after a firework was let off in a communal area.

Emergency services were called to Brierfield Terrace at about 19:30 on Tuesday.

Grampian Police said some residents temporarily left "as a precaution" due to the smoke, and added: "Thankfully, no-one was injured."

The force appealed for anyone with any information about the incident to contact them.
