Boy, 14, charged over 'OAP assault' in Inverurie

A 14-year-old boy has been charged after a 79-year-old man reported he was assaulted in Inverurie.

Duncan Rae told BBC Scotland he was kicked and stamped on in the Aberdeenshire town on Tuesday evening.

It happened outside his home in the Old Chapel Road area, near Strathburn Park.

Grampian Police said a 14-year-old boy had been charged and a report would be sent to the "appropriate authorities" in due course.
