Police are becoming increasingly concerned about a man in his 50s who has been missing for almost a week.

John Reynolds was last seen at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary at about 22:55 on Friday 16 March.

Grampian Police said they were especially concerned as he is suffering from "an underlying medical condition".

Mr Reynolds is described as 5ft 10in, of medium build and balding, and was last seen wearing a dark shirt, dark green jumper and brown hiking boots.

He was carrying a large rucksack.

Det Supt Gary Winter, from Aberdeen CID, said: "We are deeply concerned for Mr Reynolds and I would urge him to contact us, or alternatively a family member or friend, to confirm that he is safe and well."

Police, who have issued an image of Mr Reynolds, have also urged the public to come forward if they have any information about the missing man.
