Three fishermen have been rescued after their boat ran aground in Orkney.

The crew of the creel boat Lady K were picked up by a local ferry after hitting rocks between the islands of Sanday and Eday at about 08:00.

The three men were said by coastguards to be "dry, safe, and well". Lady K was later tied up at Eday pier, although still submerged.

Kirkwall lifeboat, a search and rescue helicopter, and two local ferries were involved in the rescue operation.
