Dunnottar Castle body confirmed as Aberdeen woman Carole Corbett

Carole Corbett Carole Corbett had gone missing from the Berryden area of Aberdeen

A woman whose body was recovered from the coastline near Dunnottar Castle in Aberdeenshire has been identified.

Carole Corbett, 49, was reported missing from the Berryden area of Aberdeen last Thursday.

A body was found on Sunday, and police have now confirmed it was Ms Corbett.

A spokesperson said: "There are no suspicious circumstances and as is normal practice, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course."
