Fraserburgh tacograph haulier George Davidson banned for life
A Fraserburgh haulier has been told by Scotland's Traffic Commissioner that he will be disqualified for life from the industry.
George Davidson was previously jailed after using a device to breach driving hours regulations.
He had been stopped in June last year in Cumbria.
A Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (Vosa) examiner told an inquiry Davidson's tachograph records revealed 69 instances of falsified records.
Scotland's Traffic Commissioner Joan Aitken said: "I find that he is a risk to road safety.
"That he has such a deluded opinion of himself makes him a risk.
"There is no evidence to support any finding that he could ever be a compliant operator."
Davidson was jailed for six months at Carlisle Crown Court in January.
