Aberdeenshire combine harvester death man named as Alan Ironside

A 39-year-old man who died in an accident involving a combine harvester at a farm has been named locally.

Paramedics and fire crews were called to Auchlinn farm near Turriff in Aberdeenshire at about 20:00 on Tuesday.

Alan Ironside died at the family-run farm.

Police said the death was a tragic accident and there were no suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said there would be a joint investigation by police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
