Woman dies after A98 crash west of Portsoy in Aberdeenshire

One woman has died after a crash in Aberdeenshire.

The two-vehicle collision involving a blue BMW and a silver Peugeot happened on the A98, west of Portsoy, at about 14:15.

The woman was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but could not be saved. Three other people were also injured in the crash.

Police Scotland, appealing for witnesses, said diversions had been put in place.
