Bus firm Stagecoach Bluebird has blamed council budget cuts for some service withdrawals in Moray.

The company said journeys that were supported by Moray Council would be withdrawn from Monday 14 October.

Services 31, 31A and 31B, from Springfield Retail Park in Elgin to Forres, will be replaced with service 34, from Kingston to Forres.

Services 32, 33A and 33C, 35B and 36, face timing changes.

Stagecoach Bluebird said details of the changes were available on its website, and the aim was for them to be in travel shops from the starting date of the new timetable.

Managing director Steve Walker said: "Like our passengers, we are disappointed that certain services will be withdrawn or have their frequency reduced."
