The full-scale investigation into a major blaze at a disused Aberdeen hospital could take several days to get under way.

Dozens of firefighters were called in to tackle the incident at Royal Cornhill Hospital overnight into Wednesday.

Police say engineers need to assess the structural damage before the investigation can begin.

Any asbestos risk also has to be looked at.
