Baby boy who died after Marykirk crash named as Bojidar Katsarov

A baby boy who died after being delivered following a crash involving his pregnant mother in the north east of Scotland has been named.

Bojidar Katsarov was born after his 27-year-old mother was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a two-car crash on the A937 at Marykirk on Tuesday morning.

Relatives of the baby are from the Mearns area.

Police Scotland said a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal.

The crash involved a black BMW and a silver BMW.
