Crash woman is Aberdeenshire councillor Peter Argyle's wife Natalia

The wife of an Aberdeenshire councillor has been seriously injured in a crash.

Natalia Argyle, 44, is the partner of Peter Argyle, the council representative for Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside.

Her car and a lorry were in collision on the B9119 Westhill to Midmar road just before 13:00 on Friday.

Aberdeenshire Council chief executive Colin Mackenzie said: "We are thinking of Peter and his family at this difficult time."
