Teenager 'critical' after being hit by car in Aberdeen

A 17-year-old woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Aberdeen.

She was taken to the city's Royal Infirmary for treatment following the incident on the Gallowgate at about 23:40 on Saturday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the woman was in a "critical but stable" condition.

The road was closed to allow accident investigations to be carried out.
