Police investigate Aberdeen body discovery

Police in Aberdeen have begun an investigation into the discovery of a body in the hallway of flats.

Officers were called at about 09:00 on New Year's Day after the Scottish Ambulance Service found the dead man at 58 Charlotte Street.

A statement from Police Scotland said the death was being treated as unexplained.

Formal identification has yet to be carried out. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
