Aberdeenshire farm fire damage 'worth more than £100,000'

A deliberate fire at an Aberdeenshire farm caused damage worth more than £100,000, police have said.

The hay barn fire happened near Chapel of Garioch in the early hours of Monday.

A tractor and trailer from the farm were later found on fire near the Bennachie Visitors Centre, and it is believed the two incidents are linked.

The total cost of the damage is estimated at a six-figure sum.

More than 30 firefighters tackled the farm fire.
