The Care Inspectorate is investigating further complaints against a private school in Aberdeen, BBC Scotland has learned.

Police Scotland, the city council and the inspectorate are already looking into separate concerns raised over care at the Hamilton School on Queens Road.

A spokesman for the Care Inspectorate said "several complaints" had been received about the school and nursery.

Inspectors are "currently carrying out investigations."

The Hamilton School previously said: "We will of course co-operate fully with any investigation and understand that the authorities have to investigate allegations which are put to them."
