A Moray wool mill has been honoured for "sympathetic" restoration work by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Scotland.

Knockando Woolmill, near Aberlour, won the Project of the Year title, as well as the Community Benefit award.

Judges highlighted the production of a "well-rounded" sustainable project.

Knockando Woolmill Trust was formed in 2000 to raise £3.5m to restore the historic buildings and machinery.

It has manufactured cloth since 1784, and featured in the BBC Two series Restoration.

The Building Conservation winner was the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, with the Highlanders' Museum Redevelopment Project at Fort George, at Ardersier, commended.

The Design through Innovation winner was Maggie's Cancer Care, with the Resource Efficient House near Motherwell highly commended.

The Regeneration winner was the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes' Village.

The Commercial winner was Atria Edinburgh and EICC expansion, while Dundee Waterfront took the Infrastructure prize. Gateway Apartments Student Accommodation triumphed in Residential, with Centurion Way highly commended.

In Tourism and Leisure, the SSE Hydro won, with Natural Retreats in John O'Groats highly commended.

Clydebank Civic Heart was commended in Community Benefit.
