Aberdeen City Council could cut directors from five to three

Aberdeen City Council could cut its number of directors from five to three.

It follows a review of senior management levels at the authority by chief executive Valerie Watts.

She began the organisational review in February and her findings will go before councillors next week.

The roles would be corporate governance and transformation, education and children's services, and community and infrastructural services.

It is expected the steps would save money but how much is not yet known.
