One man killed in A90 collision near Boddam

A 66-year-old man has died after a two-car crash near Boddam in Aberdeenshire.

A 48-year-old man from the other vehicle was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he was in a "critical" condition following the collision on the A90.

The motorist who died was driving a blue Peugeot 508 which was travelling north.

The other driver involved was in a black BMW X1 which was travelling south.

The road was blocked as a result, but later re-opened.

The collision happened at about 07:00.

Police Scotland appealed for witnesses.
