Notice from HSE for Shell after Brent Bravo gas leak off Shetland
A gas leak on a North Sea platform has led to Shell being served with a prohibition notice by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The incident happened on the Brent Bravo, off Shetland, on 9 June.
Shell said there was a "low level" gas release from a pipeline valve but immediate action was taken to bring the situation under control. No-one was injured.
The company said all the issues raised had now been addressed.
Production on the Brent Bravo was shut down at the time, to allow maintenance work to be carried out.
