Outer Moray Firth wind farm onshore work permission granted

Planning permission for onshore elements needed for offshore wind farms in the Outer Moray Firth has been approved by Aberdeenshire Council.

Transmission cables coming ashore at Inverboyndie, underground cables between Inverboyndie and Mains of Asleid, and two substations at New Deer formed the proposal.

They are needed to connect to the grid.

The offshore wind farms were granted consent by Scottish ministers in March.
