Malcolm Stephen named as Aberdeenshire fatal crash victim

A 52-year-old man who died following a crash in Aberdeenshire on Sunday has been named by police as Malcolm Stephen from the local area.

The crash happened on the B9033 Fraserburgh to St Combs road, at the junction with the B9107 at Inverallochy, at about 19:10 on Sunday.

The accident involved a green Vauxhall Astra and a gold Renault Scenic.

Police are keen to trace a vehicle that turned out of the Inverallochy junction just before the collision.

They believe the occupant could be a key witness to the crash.
