Aberdeen Christmas lights 'threatened by legal action'
Aberdeen could be left without its Christmas lights due to a dispute.
A hearing is expected to be heard at the city's sheriff court on Wednesday as part of a civil action against the council by Scotia Animations Ltd.
While the case is live, the council is prohibited from entering into a contract with its preferred bidder.
Senior councillor Angela Taylor said the authority would be "extremely disappointed" if the light show the city was used to could not be held.
She said: "We will be pulling out all the stops to make sure we have something in place."
Scotia Animations declined to comment.
The preferred bidder is French firm Blachere Illumination.
