Northsound One DJ Greig Easton cleared of assault in Aberdeen

An Aberdeen radio DJ accused of assaulting his partner has walked free from court after the case was dropped.

Northsound One's Greig Easton, 38, denied seizing Natalya Kent by the throat, repeatedly pushing her and closing a door on her arm.

Miss Kent told Aberdeen Sheriff Court she had no recollection of any assault.

Sheriff Annella Cowan told Mr Easton he was free to go, and told his girlfriend: "Remember the story of the little boy who cried wolf."

Mr Easton and Miss Kent, 26, both declined to comment after the case.

She had told the trial that a bruise on her arm may have been from a military fitness class on the day of the alleged assault.

The incident was said to have taken place on 27 April this year.

Police had turned up at the house over allegations of domestic abuse reported by Miss Kent's mother.
