Death probe birds in Aberdeenshire 'were not raptors'

Police probing the deaths of six birds in Aberdeenshire have now said they were not buzzards as intially suspected

Remains were found in a field north of Fordoun earlier this month.

Police Scotland said that "extensive enquiries and specialist examination" of the remains had taken place.

A spokesperson said the birds were not raptors or a protected species.
