A woman caught with cocaine and heroin worth thousands of pounds in Aberdeen has been jailed.

Carol Dixon, 51, from Jamaica, was caught with drugs in Powis Place in March.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard she was given bail but was caught again in the city's Market Street in June.

Jailing Dixon for four-and-a-half years, judge Lady Rae said: "Illegal drugs bring so much misery into our communities."

Det Insp Stewart Drummond said Dixon had played an "integral part" in the supply chain.
