Girl, 7, suffers smoke inhalation after Aberdeen fire

A seven-year-old girl needed treatment for smoke inhalation after a fire in Aberdeen.

The incident happened at a block of flats in Loirston Place in Torry at 19:40 on Monday.

About 15 firefighters attended the blaze as well as police and ambulance crews.

The girl was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after being treated at the scene by paramedics.

Nobody else was injured.

The fire, which police have said was accidental, was extinguished by 20:00.
