Injured Aberdeen man identified after appeal

A man who was found lying badly injured on an Aberdeen road has been identified after a public appeal.

The man was found on Denburn Road at about 07:35 on Friday 9 January.

Police Scotland, who had issued a sketch, said the man had now been identified as from the local area.

A spokesperson said: "He remains in a critical condition at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. His next of kin have been made aware."

Members of the public and the media were thanked for their help.
