Alastrean House care home standards in Aboyne labelled weak

Standards at a care home in the north east of Scotland have been described as weak in a report.

The Care Inspectorate found staff at Alastrean House in Aboyne used language which showed a lack of respect. Inspectors also found fault with medication recording.

The unannounced visit was made in December last year.

A spokesman for operators Balhousie Care said a robust action plan had been implemented.
