Plans for £26m Elgin High School replacement approved

Work on a £26m replacement for Elgin High School is set to get under way after Moray councillors backed the plans.

It will be built near the existing school, which will be demolished once the new school is completed, which is scheduled for late 2017.

Moray Council's planning and regulatory services committee approved the plans.

They include a sports block, a floodlit synthetic all-weather pitch and an athletics track.
