Plans to replace a fire-ravaged building on the beach esplanade in Aberdeen have been lodged.

Jimmy Chung's restaurant was badly damaged in February of last year.

Alex and Ruth Grahame, owners of the Hornblowers restaurant in Gourdon, now want to develop Aberdeen beach facilities which include a restaurant, takeaway and ice cream parlour.

It is hoped dozens of jobs could be created if the project gets the go-ahead to open in 2016.
