Cocaine 'worth £33,000' recovered in Aberdeen

Cocaine with an estimated street value of about about £33,000 has been recovered in Aberdeen.

Police Scotland said the seizure was made in the Guild Street area as part of the ongoing Operation Maple campaign.

A 28-year-old man was charged and reported to the procurator fiscal. He was expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday.

Operation Maple has been running since 2010.

It is the police's ongoing strategy to target drugs and anti-social behaviour in Aberdeen.
