Man, 29, held over Sumburgh Airport 'offensive weapon'

A man has been arrested at Shetland's Sumburgh Airport over an alleged "offensive weapon".

Police Scotland said an attempt was made to board a Glasgow-bound flight with the item, which was believed to be a knuckle-duster.

A 29-year-old man was arrested as a result of the incident.

Police Scotland said no passengers or any members of the public were put at risk. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
