Prominent farmer Bruce Ferguson dies after Turriff accident

A well-known north-east farmer has died following an accident on his farm.

It is believed 61-year-old Bruce Ferguson, a former president of the Turriff Show, fell into a grain storage tank at Ardmiddle Mains near Turriff on Saturday.

Current president Barclay Mair said Mr Ferguson's loss would be felt widely.

Police Scotland said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
