Two seriously injured in Peterhead collision

Two people were taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after a two-car crash in Peterhead.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A982, on the approach to the town, at about 20:55 on Friday night.

In total five people were injured in the collision involving a Vauxhall Zafira and a Honda CRV.

It is believed the two most seriously injured people were travelling in the Honda.

All of those involved were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The road remained closed as investigations into the crash continue.
