More than 3,600 homes in the north east had no power for more than an hour on Sunday afternoon following a fault.

Homes in Aberdeen, Milltimber and Peterculter lost their electricity supply just after 14:00.

Engineers from Scottish and Southern Energy managed to reconnect the supply to all homes by 15:10.

The firm said the cause of the power cut was being investigated.
