Boy on scooter injured after being hit by car in Elrick

A five-year-old boy was left with head and leg injuries after being hit by a car in a village near Aberdeen.

The incident happened when the boy was on a scooter on Burnland Place in Elrick just after 19:00 on Thursday.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

His condition was said to be "stable".
