Election 2015: BBC Scotland Gordon hustings aired

Candidates for the Gordon constituency clashed over issues including austerity and housing during a BBC Radio Scotland hustings.

Four of the five candidates contesting the seat took part in the general election debate at the Thainstone Centre in Inverurie on Thursday night.

Other issues tackled included the oil and gas industry.

Conservative Colin Clark, Labour's Braden Davy, Lib Dem Christine Jardine and the SNP's Alex Salmond took part.

The fifth candidate for the seat, UKIP's Emily Santos, was invited but was unable to attend.

The hustings - chaired by BBC Scotland reporter Steven Duff - was being heard between 17:05 and 18:00 on BBC Radio Scotland FM, and is also now available online.

Gordon is set to be one of the most high-profile seats in the election, which will be held on 7 May.
