One hundred and ninety staff at the University of Aberdeen have expressed interest in taking voluntary redundancy.

The university announced in March it needed to save £10.5m and planned to cut 150 posts.

A spokeswoman said 57 formal applications for redundancy had been received, and 17 had so far been approved.

Staff have until 10 July to apply for voluntary redundancy.
