Appeal over 70 stolen budgies in Aberdeenshire

Police have appealed for information after about 70 budgies worth thousands of pounds were stolen in Aberdeenshire.

The birds - some of which are prize winners - were stolen from a private aviary in Mintlaw.

They are tagged with the code H6010 on their right foot.

Meanwhile, three newly-laid Eagle Owl eggs were taken from a private aviary in the Crudie area. Police Scotland urged bird owners to be vigilant.
